When the Pack emerged from our explorations, they were quickly bare. Our clothes seemed incongruous to us in this work of animalization. Being naked is not a particular issue. It is a state of nature, a real of the body, an origin. The question arose more acutely, mainly for females, when we started doing Packs in public. We were led to question ourselves on various aspects: the inequality of nudity with regard to men and women, the ambivalence of nudity, its relationship to cultural and social representations. We were also confronted with certain prejudices, fears, and sent back to violent representations of collective nudity. In Open Scores, nudity is a transitory and partial state. Clothes circulate from one body to another, they take off and put on again. The identities of each other are mixed up, undone, recomposed, multiple. The relationship to the body, to the skin, which turns out to be both vulnerable and joyful, displaces relational habits. A shift takes place in the visible.
